The history of Bingo

Bingo is famous since 1500’s. Many people say that this game is quite similar to the popular Spanish game “Lo Giuoco Code Loto”. In both games we have numbers that are called out and the one who possess them will win the game. Based on history, we know that the French are those who discover the marking method, the tablets of numbers and calling the numbers out loud. You can see that also in Bingo. Several of the games that are played in the parlours introduced by the French have very alike rules to Bingo. Very close game to bingo is the French game “Beano”. It is believed that after a while Americans started to play this game and they renamed it to Bingo. Actually, Edwin Lowe saw the game during a carnival in 1029 and he found out that the game is quite popular among the visitors of the carnival. He liked the game and showed it to his friend in New York. They both loved it and continued playing it. Exactly on one of their game meetings someone called the game accidentally Bingo. The game of numbers became very soon extremely famous in churches and carnivals. At that time, it was a way of legal gambling. There were lots of churches which were free from gambling laws and bingo almost immediately became a resource of fashionable gambling and entertainment. This game was also called “innocent”. At first, this game was considered as a game of old ladies but nowadays it attracts people from different ages and sex. In the beginning of the 20th  century this game became well-liked in Australia. It was called Housie and it was held in big canopies, before it begins to conduct in halls. The winner of the game was called House. Later the game of Bingo found place in many Las Vegas casinos and a lot of people were going there to play it, even if it wasn’t considered as a serious gambling game. Nowadays we can play Bingo online as well. Even if you are playing on the Internet, you can feel the real bingo hall with your whole body.
